Shipping Policy
Salon
Smart reserves the right to set the terms of all shipments on a per order
basis. Salon Smart will ship all deliveries insured on the carrier of its
choosing, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Salon Smart expects total
customer satisfaction. If within THREE days you are not satisfied with your purchase, Salon
Smart will accept your return NO QUESTIONS ASKED*.
*CUSTOM-MADE Items may not be returned
and are non-refundable.
*The
costs of shipping back all returns will be the sole responsibility of the
customer and, in the event of a return, original shipping costs will be
deducted from any applicable refund.
*All returns must be
packaged exactly in the manner in which they were received and must be shipped
with insurance. Returns must arrive back to Salon Smart in brand new
condition without damages. Any damages to returned products are the sole
responsibility of the customer and such damage claims are between the carrier
and customer.
*A 20 percent
restocking fee (based on the price of the item minus shipping to the customer)
will be charged to the customer for returns not related to receipt of damaged
items.
If a
product arrives damaged to the customer, Salon Smart may, at its sole
discretion, replace the item, provide replacement parts for the item (in rare
cases, replacement parts may take up to 10 weeks to arrive if they are not in
stock), or refund all or a portion of the price of the item (including
shipping) to the customer. If the product arrives damaged due to mishandling by
the freight carrier, the customer must inform the carrier of the damage AT THE TIME
OF DELIVERY. Furthermore,
Salon Smart expects that all packages delivered will be opened and
inspected AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY, so that hidden damage (damage not identifiable by
inspecting the outside of the package container) can be shown to the carrier.
Shipping and Delivery Lead Time:
Salon Smart typically ships within 3
business days from the date on which payment is received. Overnight or
expedited delivery may be available on some items at the customers' request
(Customers must call Salon Smart for any overnight or expedited delivery and
are responsible for any increased costs related thereto).Shipping times for
special and custom orders and/or items drop-shipped from our vendors may vary.
Items ordered together may be shipped separately and may be delivered at
different times.
Shipping by Common Carrier/Freight:
Given the
weight of many of the items that are sold by Salon Smart, shipping by UPS is
not always possible and a common carrier/freight company must be used.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING FREIGHT DELIVERY GUIDELINES.
TAILGATE DELIVERY: The shipping charges a
customer incurs for the items purchased cover Tailgate Delivery to a customer.
Tailgate delivery means that the truck carrying a delivery will pull up to the
front of the delivery destination, move the items delivered to the back of the
truck, and open the back of the truck. For these types of deliveries, IT
IS THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE THEIR SHIPMENT OFF THE TRUCK AND CARRY
IT INSIDE.
LIFTGATE DELIVERY: If the customer needs a
liftgate to move the delivery from the back of the truck to the ground, the
customer will be charged an additional $65.00. This is because most
delivery trucks do not come standard with a liftgate. Even with a liftgate
delivery, however, the customer is still responsible for bringing the delivery
inside. INSIDE DELIVERY: If the customer needs inside delivery, the customer
will be charged an additional $65.00. In other words, if the customer does not
have a loading dock or forklift (and, therefore, requires a liftgate), the
customer will be charged the shipping price + liftgate fee + inside delivery
fee. With inside delivery, the truck driver assists the customer to bring the
delivery inside*. *Your location must have a door opening of 72” or
more, deliveries will only be made to the inside of the building and will not
be brought to an upper floor location without the use of a freight elevator.
RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY: A $65.00 residential
delivery charge also applies if the customer requires delivery to a home or
home-based business.
